Last Friday evening, July 19 in partnership with Newark Parks & Recreation, the Friends of Fusion Foundation was the beneficiary of the long standing Parks on Draft summer tradition in Newark, DE; this event was held at Norma B. Handloff Park off of Barksdale Rd.
Proceeds of the event amounted to $1,031.39 for the Foundation – Shoes That Fit DE Chapter and $551.39 for the Newark Parks & Recreation Kids Scholarship Program.
The Foundation also presented checks to the following organizations:
- Shoes That Fit DE Chapter
- Newark PAL
- Food Bank of Delaware
- Warriors Helping Warriors
- Exceptional Care for Children
In addition to the refreshing adult beverages provided by Standard Distributing Company, Roja & Verde Taqueria was onsite selling authentic Mexican street food along with Bella Von providing live entertainment. Thank you to all who came out to enjoy an evening in the park!
