On Thursday, July 24, the Newark Community came together to raise money for the Newark Delaware Police Trading Card Program during our Bail or Jail and Guest Bartender Event. It was an amazing display of what can happen when we all come together and focus on common goals: making ripples and supporting our community.
One unwilling and fifteen willing “convicts” raised bail money to stay out of the Fusion County Jail. Bartenders from five local bars served drinks behind the bar at Timothy’s of Newark.
Together, we raised almost $14,000. This will cover the design, photography, and printing of the trading cards, and will allow the NPD to use the money they’ve raised separately to purchase some amazing prizes for local children.
