Crafting a Donation for William Penn’s Woodworking Class

Friends of Fusion Foundation Founder Nic DeCaire and Board President Jeff Leggett visited Paul Oakes, a math and woodworking teacher at William Penn High School. The Friends of Fusion Foundation recently answered a “shot in the dark” post when they saw Paul was in need of tools for a new woodworking class he started.

Nic, a woodworker himself, knows how important good tools are to learning the craft.

The Foundation Board discussed how to help and answered the call with a new dust collecting system, planer, sander, and screw gun.

In addition, Nic and a couple Foundation Board Members and supporters donated tools they weren’t currently using.

The hope is that these tools continue the ripple in our community and help these students learn a lifelong skill.

“On behalf of the students in my classes, thank you for your donations and interest in our program”, summarized Paul.
