Friends of Fusion Foundation Founder Nic DeCaire and Board Members Greg Gilbert, Jeff Leggett, and Joe Murray presented a check to Cpl. Adam Mease, Sgt. Jay Conover, and Cpl. Donte Faulk of the Newark Delaware Police Department at their Trading Card Contest “Officers of the Day” event at Jerry’s Artarama on Tuesday.
The funds raised by the Foundation were used for the production of the trading cards and the collectors’ binders, which allowed the NDPD to use the money they raised separately for over 30 prizes. Various Officer cards will be given out at numerous events — several featuring special “Officers of the Day” — until November 23rd. The dates and times of upcoming events, as well as the contest rules, can be found on the Newark PAL and Newark Delaware Police Department social media pages.
“Our Board Members attended the launch event on Saturday, the card giveaway at the Main Street Mile on Sunday, and today’s event at Jerry’s Artarama, and we can’t tell who’s more excited, the kids collecting the cards or the officers giving their cards away! This is such a great, community event and we’re thrilled to be part of it”, said Jeff Leggett, Foundation Board President.
